Administrative Procedure Act
The Administrative Procedure Act (APA) is a federal act that governs the procedures of administrative law. The APA is codified in 5 U.S.C. §§ 551–559.

Admiralty and Maritime powers refer to the federal government’s ability to pass laws that relate to the water systems of America. Congress is granted admiralty and maritime powers through Article 3 Section II of the Constitution.

Age discrimination occurs when employers, labor organizations, and employment agencies treat an employee less favorably because of their age if the employee is at least 40 years old. Employees are protected by the Age Discrimination Employment Act of 1967 (AEDA), and other states’ regulations.
age of consent
In family law, age of consent refers to the age one can give meaningful consent. If over the age of 18 years, meaningful consent is presumed. However the presumption may be negated if the person lacked capacity due to developmental disability, illness or duress. It may also be the age at which a person is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity.
